Steel Ball Run Anime Reveals New Key Visual Ahead of Major 2nd STAGE Update

A brand-new key visual has been revealed for Steel Ball Run, giving fans a look at the next part of the anime adaptation of Part 7 of Hirohiko Araki’s legendary JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure manga series.

Alongside the artwork, the production team confirmed that major new information about the upcoming 2nd STAGE will be revealed at Anime Expo 2026.
Steel Ball Run adapts the seventh chapter of the long-running JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure saga, transporting the franchise into a new continuity centred around an epic cross-country horse race across the United States.

The story follows former jockey Johnny Joestar and the mysterious Gyro Zeppeli as they compete in the dangerous Steel Ball Run race while uncovering a much greater conspiracy hidden beneath the competition.

The anime began airing in March, 2026, with a specially produced 47-minute premiere episode, titled 1st STAGE, which covers the opening portion of the race and is currently streaming exclusively on Netflix.
The 2nd STAGE, which was confirmed in April 2026, will continue the story using a split-cour format, with episodes scheduled to stream weekly beginning in autumn 2026 through Netflix’s worldwide exclusive early distribution.

Steel Ball Run has now been confirmed to be receiving a dedicated panel during Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles on July 3, 2026, which is set to feature the latest updates on the 2nd STAGE.

Composer Yugo Kanno, who has created the music for the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime series, will appear during the event to discuss the production and participate in a live musical performance.

The panel will also include a special talk session focusing on the series and what fans can expect from the upcoming continuation.

Joining the event are the English voice actors for the two lead characters, with Daman Mills, the voice of Johnny Joestar, and Kaiji Tang, who voices Gyro Zeppeli, both scheduled to share their experiences working on the series and their excitement for 2nd STAGE.
