G Gundam’s Most Expensive Burning Gundam Figure Joins Bandai’s Gundam Summer Fest 2026

This particular METAL BUILD release was developed under the supervision of Mobile Fighter G Gundam director Yasuhiro Imagawa and combines the familiar Burning Gundam (known as God Gundam in the Japanese version) with parts that allow the same figure to be converted into Burning Gundam Second (God Gundam II) from the series’ 30th-anniversary side story.
Rather than being a set containing two complete figures, Burning Gundam Second is recreated by exchanging the Core Lander and wing equipment, giving collectors two substantially different configurations from the same main body.
The standard Burning Gundam captures the mobile fighter’s martial-arts-focused appearance with the premium metal construction, detailed paintwork, and extensive articulation associated with the METAL BUILD line, allowing it to recreate the dramatic fighting poses that define Domon Kasshu’s Gundam.
Its iconic Hyper Mode is supported by a large solar ring effect that sits behind the figure, with the carefully sculpted and painted piece creating one of the most recognizable mobile suit transformations from Mobile Fighter G Gundam.
Bright red Burning Finger hand parts are also included, allowing the figure to recreate one of Domon’s signature finishing attacks alongside more conventional hand options for martial arts poses.
Burning Gundam Second adds a much heavier emphasis on weapon-based combat, with its redesigned Core Lander incorporating equipment that can be removed and transformed into a selection of weapons inspired by Chinese martial arts.
Five weapon styles are represented, including a crescent blade, staff, three-section staff, two-section staff, and sai, with parts of the Second configuration’s wing equipment transforming into the weapons rather than simply being carried as separate accessories.
The staff components can also be recombined into the multi-section weapons, adding considerably more posing variety to Burning Gundam Second and giving the alternate form its own identity beyond the redesigned backpack.
Burning Gundam’s twin Burning Gundam Slash weapons are included alongside effect parts, interchangeable hands, antenna parts, the replacement wing equipment for Burning Gundam Second, the Core Lander, joint parts, and a dedicated display stand.
Together, the two configurations give the release considerably more display variety than a conventional single METAL BUILD figure, ranging from the familiar solar-ring and Burning Finger poses of the anime to the weapon-heavy Burning Gundam Second appearance.
