Square Enix Launches Final Fantasy XII 20th Anniversary Apparel Line
Square Enix has teamed up with Amazon to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the classic video game Final Fantasy XII with a special range of apparel.
The “Final Fantasy XII Anniversary Collection” apparel line features a variety of stylish garments highlighting beautiful artwork from the game which originally launched on the PlayStation 2 in 2006.
The game introduced players to the vast and politically complex realm of Ivalice and followed a young orphan named Vaan and a resistance fighter named Princess Ashe as they attempt to reclaim the kingdom of Dalmasca from the Archadian Empire.
They are joined by a memorable cast of characters, including the disgraced knight Basch and the charismatic sky pirates Balthier and Fran.
The game revolutionized the long-running franchise by introducing the Gambit system, allowing players to meticulously program the artificial intelligence of their party members in real-time combat.
It also featured the License Board, an expansive skill tree system that gave players incredible freedom to customize their characters’ abilities and equipment.
A modern remaster titled Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age later brought the adventure to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC with enhanced graphics and improved gameplay mechanics.
Fans can choose from four different visual designs printed on a variety of comfortable clothing styles, including standard t-shirts, long-sleeved shirts, and warm sweatshirts.
The artwork includes a special anniversary illustration by Ryoma Ito, classic package art from the modern remaster, and a charming graphic featuring the iconic Moogles hovering above the anniversary logo.
