Magical Sisters Lulutto Lilly Unveils Special Ending Video and Magical Girl Visuals

Studio Pierrot has officially announced that the new magical girl anime series Magical Sisters Lulutto Lilly is scheduled to premiere on April 5, 2026.

The production is a collaboration between Studio Pierrot and Bandai Namco Filmworks, marking the first entry in Pierrot’s magical girl franchise in over twenty years.

To celebrate the launch, a pop up store featuring a special lineup visual of classic and new magical girls will open at Shinjuku Marui Annex on June 6, 2026.

This visual places the new protagonists alongside legendary predecessors like Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel, which originally debuted in 1983.

The cast features Mei Tachibana as the elementary student Fuu Nonoyama, who transforms into CompatoLilly, and Nao Ojika as her middle school sister Rui Nonoyama, who becomes MashuLulu.

The plot follows the two sisters as they acquire the ability to transform into adults after encountering a mysterious spaceship, though they must keep their powers secret.

Unaware of each other’s true identities, the siblings both debut as idol singers while navigating the condition that their magic will only last for one year.

Shintaro Doge is directing the series and providing original character designs, while Yuko Kakihara handles the series composition and scripts.

Additional character designs are being provided by Namiko Torii, Hirono Nishiki, and Asami Sodeyama to bring the vibrant world to life.

A new special video was also released earlier this month, featuring the ending theme song Calling performed by the voice actor unit Lulutto Lilly.
