Ichigo Joins Granblue Fantasy for Huge New BLEACH Collab Event
Granblue Fantasy is about to welcome the world of BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War as Cygames has revealed a major crossover event that brings iconic Soul Reapers, exclusive rewards and a brand-new story into the long-running RPG.
Granblue Fantasy has remained one of Cygames’ flagship titles since its debut in 2014, building a reputation for its expansive fantasy world, memorable characters and frequent crossover events with some of anime and gaming’s biggest franchises.
BLEACH, created by Tite Kubo, is one of the most influential action manga and anime series of the past two decades, with more than 130 million manga copies in circulation worldwide and its final story arc, Thousand-Year Blood War, currently being adapted for television.
The collaboration, titled BLEACH ECHOES IN THE BLUE HOLLOW, begins when a mysterious rift tears open the sky, transforming nearby islands into an eerie white landscape before Ichigo Kurosaki and several Soul Reapers arrive from another world to confront the growing threat alongside Granblue Fantasy’s crew.
Players who clear INTERLUDE #01 during the event will permanently recruit Ichigo Kurosaki as a playable character, while a Character Uncap Set can also be earned through Treasure Exchange to strengthen him further.
The story will continue with an additional chapter arriving midway through the event, and clearing INTERLUDE #02 will reward players with another recruitable character whose identity is being kept secret for now.
Exclusive event rewards will also include the summon Kuchiki Byakuya & Kenpachi Zaraki & Mayuri Kurotsuchi, alongside the event weapons Zangetsu and Asauchi, all of which can be upgraded further by collecting materials from HELL difficulty quests and multiplayer battles.
During multiplayer battles, players may also receive surprise assistance from several Soul Reaper captains, who can appear during combat and instantly defeat enemies to help progress through the event.
Simply participating in the collaboration will unlock the Samurai class for players, while clearing INTERLUDE #01 will also grant access to the Kengo class.
Treasure Exchange rewards include a Legend 10-Part Draw Ticket, Damascus Crystals and a variety of valuable upgrade materials that can be used to strengthen existing teams long after the collaboration ends.
Players will also be able to earn up to five free Collaboration 10-Part Draws by progressing through the event story and completing Substitute Soul Reaper missions, with the limited-time collaboration gacha featuring characters from BLEACH.
Ichigo Kurosaki will be joined throughout the event by fan-favorite BLEACH characters including Byakuya Kuchiki, Toshiro Hitsugaya, Rangiku Matsumoto, Kenpachi Zaraki, Mayuri Kurotsuchi, Nemu Kurotsuchi, Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez, Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck, Pesche Guatiche, Dondochakka Birstanne and Bawabawa, alongside Granblue Fantasy characters such as Lyria, Vyrn, Narmaya, Okto, Azusa, Cassius, Isaac, Chichiri and Uruki.
The BLEACH ECHOES IN THE BLUE HOLLOW collaboration is free to play within Granblue Fantasy and will run from July 22 at 5:00 PM until August 3, 2026 at 8:59 PM JST.
The final cour of the BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War anime, titled BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity, is scheduled to begin broadcasting in Japan on July 25, 2026.
