The upcoming anime adaptation of Young Ladies Don’t Play Fighting Games has officially confirmed a broadcast window of July 2026.

This announcement follows a production delay that moved the project back from its original schedule late last year.

The series has unveiled a new teaser visual alongside the casting of Maria Naganawa, known for her role in The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You, as the foul-mouthed grade-school gamer Arisa Fujimiya.

The story is based on the original manga by Eri Ejima, which is published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment.

The narrative follows Aya, a scholarship student at the prestigious Kuromi Girls’ Academy, who discovers that her idol Shirayui is actually a ruthless hardcore gamer.

The series explores the developing relationship between the two girls as they bond over intense video game combat within their refined school environment.
