Studio Ghibli Officially Brings Back Kiki’s Delivery Service’s Adorable Jiji Humidifier
Image by Charlotte DavisStudio Ghibli has brought back an adorable Kiki’s Delivery Service humidifier just in time for the colder months, giving fans another opportunity to add the Jiji-themed home accessory to their collection.
The “Kiki’s Delivery Service Little Humidifier Jiji and Breakfast” recreates a cozy breakfast scene with Jiji sitting beside a red mug as mist rises from the cup like freshly poured hot coffee and originally debuted in December 2022 as part of a wider collection of small desktop humidifiers based on scenes from several of Studio Ghibli’s movies.

Directed by Hayao Miyazaki and released in 1989, Kiki’s Delivery Service follows a young witch who leaves home at the age of 13 to spend a year living independently as part of her magical training.

Her journey takes her to the seaside city of Koriko, where she establishes a delivery business using her broomstick, with her black cat companion Jiji rarely far from her side.

Jiji provides much of the movie’s humor and companionship during Kiki’s early days away from home, frequently commenting on the unfamiliar people and situations the pair encounter as they settle into their new surroundings.

The humidifier takes a much quieter moment from that everyday life as its inspiration, placing Jiji beside a simple breakfast spread and a red mug decorated with a black cat design that closely resembles him.

Mist is released directly through the top of the mug, creating the illusion of steam rising from a freshly prepared drink as Jiji looks upward toward it.

That small interaction gives the humidifier much of its charm, with Jiji’s expression making the functional mist effect feel like part of the scene rather than something added separately to the design.

The breakfast setting is completed with a stack of pancakes next to the mug, turning the upper section into a miniature Kiki’s Delivery Service scene even when the humidifier itself is switched off.

The compact humidifier runs through USB power and can be used by filling its internal bottle with water before connecting the included cable to a compatible USB port or AC adapter.

An AC adapter is not supplied, but a full tank can operate for approximately eight hours without needing to be refilled.

The humidifier also automatically switches itself off after around eight hours of continuous use, matching the approximate running time of a full water tank.

Jiji is joined by two other Studio Ghibli humidifiers that have returned for the same seasonal restock, including My Neighbor Totoro’s ocarina-playing Totoro and a Howl’s Moving Castle design where mist rises around Calcifer as he cooks bacon and eggs.

Kiki’s Delivery Service has had a busy 2026 outside merchandise, with a newly restored 4K version of Studio Ghibli’s movie reaching IMAX theaters across North America in March and opening at number seven at the US box office.

A new ten-episode live-action television adaptation based primarily on the first volume of Eiko Kadono’s original novel series is also set to be produced by BBC Studios Kids & Family, U.K.-based production company Wheel in Motion, and Japanese publisher Kadokawa.

Donguri Kyowakoku does not offer international shipping, so fans in the US and other countries will need to use a third-party proxy or forwarding service that provides a Japanese delivery address before arranging onward delivery to their home address.
