Square Enix Announces New Vinyl Release for Final Fantasy XV’s Piano Arrangement Album
Image by James RichardsonSquare Enix is bringing Final Fantasy XV’s Piano Collections album to vinyl for the first time, giving the 2017 arrangement release a new physical edition as the game celebrates its 10th anniversary.
The “Piano Collections – FINAL FANTASY XV: Moonlit Melodies Vinyl LP” brings all 10 tracks from the original CD onto a single clear record, with its finish inspired by the moonlit night featured across the album artwork.
Final Fantasy XV originally launched in 2016 and follows Crown Prince Noctis Lucis Caelum as he travels across Eos with Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto, with the group’s road trip eventually becoming a much larger battle for the future of Lucis.
Music plays an important role throughout that journey, with Yoko Shimomura composing the game’s score and creating themes that range from the subdued “Somnus” to the much more dramatic “APOCALYPSIS NOCTIS”.
“Piano Collections – FINAL FANTASY XV: Moonlit Melodies” followed in February 2017, reworking a selection of that soundtrack specifically for solo piano under arrangements by Sachiko Miyano and Natsumi Kameoka.
The new vinyl keeps the complete track selection from that earlier CD rather than reducing it for the analog format, splitting five pieces across each side of the record.

- “Shadows Foretold -APOCALYPSIS NOCTIS-“
The vinyl arrives during Final Fantasy XV’s 10th anniversary year, which has also seen Square Enix revisit Noctis and his companions through a dedicated anniversary merchandise collection featuring new goods based on the four members of the travelling party.
Square Enix has also been giving more of its game soundtracks dedicated analog releases, including a two-disc Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary set released earlier this year and a large Chrono Trigger soundtrack vinyl collection.
The “Piano Collections – FINAL FANTASY XV: Moonlit Melodies Vinyl LP” is priced at ¥4,400 (approximately $28 / £21) and will officially release in Japan on December 2, 2026.
International pre-orders are also available through participating music and hobby retailers, including CDJapan, Play-Asia, and Black Screen Records, although overseas shipping dates may vary by retailer.
