Square Enix Releases CHRONO TRIGGER Soundtrack Vinyl LP Collection
Square Enix has officially released a brand new vinyl collection celebrating one of the most iconic role-playing games of all time.
The “CHRONO TRIGGER Original Soundtrack Vinyl LP Box” provides fans with a massive physical release dedicated to the game’s iconic score.
Chrono Trigger originally launched for the Super Famicom in 1995 and is widely considered a masterpiece of the medium.
The groundbreaking title was developed by a dream team consisting of Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii, and legendary manga artist Akira Toriyama.
Players control a young boy named Crono as he travels through time across various eras, ranging from the prehistoric age to a ruined future.
His ultimate goal is to recruit allies from across history and save the planet from a looming apocalyptic threat.
A major part of the game’s enduring legacy is its emotional and unforgettable musical score, primarily composed by Yasunori Mitsuda.
This new physical release allows fans to enjoy that classic music in a warm analog format.
Each record jacket is beautifully decorated with gorgeous promotional artwork originally illustrated by Akira Toriyama.
The inside lid of the outer storage box also features a special commemorative comment written by composer Yasunori Mitsuda.
The set also includes a special physical insert featuring a digital download passcode.
This bonus allows fans to download MP3 versions of all the included tracks, meaning the music can be enjoyed on a PC or smartphone even without a record player.
The massive set includes four individual LP records featuring a total of 64 tracks, and the complete tracklist is as follows:

To coincide with the launch, Square Enix published a special promotional video blending gameplay footage, illustrations, and music to awaken vivid memories of the adventure.
The CHRONO TRIGGER Original Soundtrack Vinyl LP Box is priced at 17,600 yen (approx. £90 GBP / $115 USD).
The vinyl set officially launched on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, and purchases can be made directly through the official Square Enix e-STORE and other participating music retailers.
Customers who purchased the set early through Amazon Japan will receive an exclusive four-piece “Mega Jacket” bonus.
These large collectible prints feature original designs utilizing classic gameplay images.
