Space Brothers Manga Concluding in Three Chapters After 19 Years

The long running manga series Space Brothers is officially scheduled to conclude in three chapters after 19 years of serialization.
Author Chuya Koyama and the editorial team confirmed on March 18, 2026, that the final 46th volume will be released on July 23, 2026.

To celebrate the conclusion of the story, a commemorative website has been launched to honor the journey of the Nanba brothers.
Space Brothers first began its run in Kodansha’s Morning magazine in December 2007 and has since achieved a cumulative print run of over 34 million copies as of February 2026.
The narrative follows Mutta and Hibito Nanba, two brothers who made a childhood pact to become astronauts and reach the moon together.

Chuya Koyama expressed his gratitude to long-term readers and noted that he is looking forward to seeing how the final chapters unfold.
The franchise has expanded significantly over the years, including a 99 episode television anime that aired from April 2012 to March 2014 and a live-action film released in May 2012.
Kodansha USA continues to handle the English distribution of the series, which captures the professional and personal struggles of the protagonists in the year 2025.
Fans can expect the final chapters to provide a definitive resolution to the dreams and promises shared between the two brothers.
