Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Adds Red, Goro Majima, and Arle As Free Characters
SEGA has revealed a significant content expansion for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds as part of the game’s comprehensive Patch 3 update.
The upcoming free updates will introduce three iconic characters from various gaming franchises to the playable roster over the next few months.
Red from the Angry Birds series is scheduled to arrive in April 2026 and will be accompanied by the new Super Roaster vehicle.
Also arriving in April 2026 is Goro Majima in his Captain Majima persona from Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, who will pilot the Goromaru vehicle.
The character rollout continues in May 2026 with the addition of Arle from the Puyo Puyo series, who comes paired with the Twinkle Bayoen vehicle.
Beyond new racers, SEGA is adding eight classic tracks to the in-game jukebox to enhance the racing atmosphere.
The musical additions include Hiro’s Magical Sound Shower from Out Run and Let’s Go Away by Takenobu Mitsuyoshi from the legendary Daytona USA.
Players can also look forward to Soul on Desert from SEGA Rally 2 and two versions of Like the Wind from the Power Drift series.
The update is further rounded out by Outside a Crisis from Super Hang-on and the main theme from Enduro Racer, as well as God Only Knows by A-One.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is currently available for players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
