Solo Leveling Set to Return With Brand-New Anime Movie “Beyond the System”

Crunchyroll has officially announced Solo Leveling: Beyond the System, a brand-new anime movie that will continue the story following the conclusion of the series’ second season.
Solo Leveling, based on the hit web novel by Chugong and its acclaimed webtoon adaptation illustrated by the late DUBU of REDICE STUDIO, has grown into one of the biggest modern anime franchises, following Sung Jinwoo’s transformation from the world’s weakest hunter into humanity’s most powerful warrior through a mysterious leveling system.

The newly revealed film is currently in production and was announced during Crunchyroll’s Anime Expo panel, accompanied by a teaser visual and an initial promotional concept video offering fans their first look at the project.
Animation production will once again be handled by A-1 Pictures, continuing the studio’s work on the television adaptation.

Crunchyroll, Aniplex, Netmarble, D&C MEDIA and Kakao Piccoma are all returning as co-producers for the upcoming feature film.
Tao Tajima has been confirmed as director while also serving as director of photography, editor, and colorist for the project.
Tomoko Sudo is also returning as character designer and key animator, maintaining visual continuity with the previous anime seasons.

The Solo Leveling anime first premiered in Japan in January 2024, with Crunchyroll streaming both the series and its English-language dub beginning the same month.
Before the arrival of the second season, fans were also treated to Solo Leveling -ReAwakening-, a compilation film that combined highlights from the first season with an advance screening of the opening two episodes of season two.

The compilation movie screened in Japanese theaters between November and December 2024 before Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures brought it to selected theaters across the United States and Canada in December that year.
Season two debuted in January 2025 and was streamed worldwide by Crunchyroll alongside an English dub.
The original Solo Leveling webtoon launched on WEBTOON in March 2018 before concluding in December 2021, while the original novel and manhwa continue to be published in English by Yen Press, with digital editions also available through services including Tapas.

The franchise has continued expanding beyond anime, with a Korean live-action adaptation currently in development alongside multiple successful video game releases.
Netmarble launched the Solo Leveling: ARISE action RPG across Android, iOS and Windows in May 2024, followed by Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud Gaming and PC via Steam in November 2025.

A release date for Solo Leveling: Beyond the System has not yet been announced.
