Sanrio Unveils Adorable New “Cat-Ear Maid Café” Merch Collection
Image by James RichardsonHello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll and Wish me mell are dressing up for an adorable new Sanrio collection built around a “Cat-Ear Maid Café” theme.
Created by Munyugurumi Patio, the range gives all five characters matching café-inspired makeovers, combining maid outfits with cat ears across a new series of plush mascots and illustrated merchandise.

The Munyugurumi mascots are the main attraction, translating each character’s new outfit into the soft plush style that gives the brand its name.
Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi and Cinnamoroll bring four of Sanrio’s most recognizable characters into the lineup, while Wish me mell rounds out the group with her own matching maid café design.

The theme also carries over into newly drawn artwork used across smaller collectibles, giving fans several ways to collect the five-character lineup without limiting the series to plushies.
Let’s take a look at the complete Cat-Ear Maid Café collection!
- Munyugurumi Mascot – ¥2,750 each (approximately $18 USD / £13 GBP)

Individual plush mascots are available for Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll and Wish me mell, with each character wearing their own version of the collection’s cat-ear maid café outfit.

- Trading Can Badge – ¥440 (approximately $3 USD / £2 GBP)

The new maid café artwork is reproduced across a collectible badge series featuring characters from the five-member lineup.
- Trading Acrylic Keychain – ¥880 (approximately $6 USD / £4 GBP)

Acrylic keychains provide a larger display of the character artwork while adding a practical format that can be attached to bags, pouches or other accessories.
- Trading Sticker – ¥385 (approximately $2 USD / £2 GBP)

The sticker collection brings the same cat-ear maid café designs into a smaller format suited to notebooks, cases and other personal items.
- Two-Postcard Set – ¥385 (approximately $2 USD / £2 GBP)

The final item combines the themed artwork across a two-card set, offering a simple display option for anyone who wants the collection’s illustrations rather than another wearable or hanging accessory.
The new range follows several other Sanrio collections that have recently given its characters dramatic themed makeovers, including the “HELLO KITTY’S SWEETS MARKET ~Chocolate lovers~” collection built around chocolate, desserts and matching plush mascots.

Sanrio has also taken Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi and Cinnamoroll into fashion through DearMyLove’s new idol-inspired collection, which dresses the characters’ respective designs in ribbons, lace and frills.
