Sanrio’s most popular characters to feature on adorable new soft drink range

The fourth wave of a popular collaboration between the carbonated drink “Poppin’ Cider” and Sanrio has been released.

The new collection is being sold exclusively at the nationwide 100-yen shop chain, DAISO.

This new “Poppin’ Cider – Peeking Face” lineup features packaging that sees various popular Sanrio characters playfully peeking out from the bottom of the label.

The collection features a total of six different flavors, each paired with a different character.

The lineup includes a special design for Pompompurin, who was the first-place winner of the 2025 Sanrio Character Ranking.

  • Hello Kitty x Lychee Flavor
Sanrio cider 3

A new, exotic lychee flavor paired with Hello Kitty.

  • My Melody x Raspberry Flavor
Sanrio cider 4

A sweet and sour raspberry flavor to celebrate My Melody’s 50th anniversary.

  • Kuromi x Grape Flavor
Sanrio cider 5

The popular grape flavor is paired with Kuromi, who is celebrating her 20th anniversary.

  • Pompompurin x Mango Flavor

A tropical mango flavor featuring the Sanrio Character Ranking winner, with a special design of him wearing a mango as a hat.

  • Cinnamoroll x Blue Lemonade Flavor

A refreshing blue lemonade flavor paired with Cinnamoroll.

  • Hangyodon x Melon Flavor
Sanrio cider 8

The classic melon soda flavor is paired with the character Hangyodon.

Each 500ml bottle of the non-alcoholic, fruit-flavored soda is priced at ¥108.

The bottles feature a simple, peelable film label, which allows the packaging itself to be easily collected or repurposed after the drink is finished.

DAISO recommends using their keychain blanks to create a keepsake or gift using the cute character based packaging.

The new “Poppin’ Cider – Peeking Face” collection began its rollout at DAISO stores across Japan on Monday, the 11th of August 2025.
