Sanrio x Pac-Man mini figures return with new translucent ‘clear color’ version

A popular capsule toy collection from Bandai, which features a crossover between the iconic video game Pac-Man and the beloved Sanrio Characters, is set to return.
The “Pac-Man Sanrio Characters – Chibi Collect Figure vol.2 – Clear Color ver” is a new version of a previously released set of mini figures, which now feature a translucent “clear color” effect.

“Gashapon” are a popular style of collectible toy in Japan, sold in randomized capsules from vending machines.
This new collection reimagines the famous Sanrio characters as the iconic Ghost enemies from the classic arcade game, Pac-Man.

The first volume in this figure collection series featured Hello Kitty, My Melody, Pompompurin, Pochacco, as well as Pac-Man.

The lineup of the second volume features a total of six different figures to collect.
Four of the characters are dressed as the standard, colored Ghosts, while two are dressed as the blue, “frightened” or “ijike” Ghosts that appear after Pac-Man eats a Power Pellet.
The full lineup of six different figures is as follows:
- Ghost – Cinnamoroll

- Ghost – Hello Kitty

- Ghost – Kuromi

- Ghost – Badtz-Maru

- Frightened Ghost – Kiki (Little Twin Stars)

- Frightened Ghost – Lala (Little Twin Stars)

This new release offers a cute and charming fusion of two legendary and globally popular franchises.
The “Pac-Man Sanrio Characters – Chibi Collect Figure vol.2 – Clear Color ver.” is a capsule toy product, priced at ¥500 per capsule.
The new collection is scheduled to begin its rollout in Gashapon machines across Japan during the second week of October.
