Fist Of The North Star: Hokuto No Ken Anime Releases Creditless Opening Video

The upcoming anime adaptation of Fist of the North Star: Hokuto no Ken is scheduled to premiere on Japanese television and Prime Video on April 10, 2026.
A creditless version of the opening sequence was recently showcased at the AnimeJapan 2026 stage event, featuring the song Hallelujah by the Japanese rock group [Alexandros].
The musical group [Alexandros] consists of four members and has been a major presence in the industry since their debut with UniversalJ in March 2015.
Vocalist and guitarist Yohei Kawakami expressed a personal connection to the source material, noting that the manga taught him the meaning of strength during his youth.

The television series will release its first two episodes on April 10, 2026, followed by the third and fourth episodes on April 17, 2026.
This production is the latest adaptation of the iconic manga created by writer Buronson and illustrator Tetsuo Hara, which originally ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1983 to 1988.

The plot follows Kenshiro, the successor of the Hokuto Shinken assassination style, as he traverses a post-apocalyptic wasteland in the year 199X.
Director Hiroshi Maeda is leading the project at TMS Entertainment, with animation production assistance provided by NIA Animation and Kishida Studio BACU.

The creative team includes Kazuhiko Inukai for series composition, Naoki Hisatsune for character designs, and Yuki Hayashi as the composer for the musical score.
The franchise has a long history of media iterations, including the original 27 volumes published by Shueisha, various video games, a 1995 live action movie, and a stage musical.
