Pre-Orders Open as Gundam SEED’s Exclusive MG Astray Noir Gunpla Kit Gets Official Re-Release
Image by Charlotte DavisBandai is bringing back an exclusive Master Grade Gunpla kit based on Gundam SEED’s heavily armed Astray Noir, giving collectors another opportunity to obtain the unique black-and-red Mobile Suit.
The returning “MG 1/100 Gundam Astray Noir” recreates Dante Gordigiani’s customized machine from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny Astray B, complete with its large Noir Striker backpack and unusual sword-and-firearm weapons.

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny Astray B is an official spin-off story set within Gundam SEED’s Cosmic Era timeline, expanding on the original series through previously unseen Mobile Suits and conflicts involving mercenaries and other factions.

The Gundam Astray Noir is a heavily modified member of the Astray family, piloted by mercenary Dante Gordigiani and equipped with specialized weaponry designed for his preferred fighting style.

Bandai first released the Master Grade Astray Noir kit through Premium Bandai in January 2014, reproducing the machine’s black and red armor using appropriately colored molded parts, with gray detailing and contrasting white sections across its large backpack.

The rear-mounted Noir Striker extends into two large wing-like assemblies, with adjustable sections and detachable weapons that allow builders to change the Mobile Suit’s appearance and recreate different combat configurations.

Among its most unusual weapons are Astray Noir’s signature Sword Pistols, which combine katana-style blades with firearms and can be displayed in the Gundam’s hands or mounted at its waist when not in use.

These are joined by a separate beam rifle and the Noir Striker’s Fragarach 3 weapons, giving builders several options for recreating Dante’s sword-fighting style and other combat poses.

The kit also includes two 1/100-scale figures of Dante Gordigiani, depicting him standing and seated in the cockpit, alongside water-slide decals featuring his personal emblem, warning labels, and other mechanical markings.

The wider Astray family has continued receiving attention from Bandai during 2026, including a new Master Grade Gundam Liberty Astray Red Frame based on the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ASTRAY spin-off, which is scheduled for release in December.

Collectors have also recently been given another opportunity to purchase the exclusive RG Gundam Astray Gold Frame Amatsu, following its official return to Premium Bandai US earlier this month.
