Pre-Orders Open for SNK’s NEOGEO AES+ Retro Console Revival
Gaming publisher PLAION REPLAI has partnered with SNK to announce the NEOGEO AES+, a modern hardware revival of the legendary home console.
The NEOGEO AES+ celebrates the 35th anniversary of the Advanced Entertainment System by bringing authentic, arcade-grade gaming back to the living room.
Famous for its massive cartridges and arcade-style joysticks, the system originally hosted iconic fighting game franchises like The King of Fighters, Fatal Fury, and Samurai Shodown.
This updated iteration skips software emulation entirely, instead utilizing re-engineered ASIC chips to flawlessly replicate the original hardware with zero compromises.
Longtime fans will be thrilled to know that the new system features complete backward compatibility with original vintage ROM cartridges from the 1990s.
The hardware also boasts modern quality-of-life conveniences, offering low-latency HDMI output alongside traditional AV output for classic CRT television enthusiasts.
Players can easily adjust regional languages, overclock the system, and change display modes using the built-in DIP switches.
Three different retro hardware bundles will be offered in the NEOGEO AES+ console range:

The base package includes the classic black console, an HDMI cable, a power supply, and a standard wired Arcade Stick.

This premium Ice White bundle features the console, a wireless Arcade Stick in white, a white Memory Card, and an exclusive white Metal Slug game cartridge.
- NEOGEO AES+ Ultimate Edition

This definitive, numbered collector bundle includes the console, both wired and wireless Arcade Sticks, a wireless Gamepad, a Memory Card, and all ten launch game cartridges displayed in a beautifully designed game rack.

Pre-orders for the new hardware opened on Friday, April 17, 2026, and eager retro gamers can secure their systems through the official PLAION REPLAI online store, as well as through other third party electronics retailers.
The highly anticipated console bundles and their accompanying standalone accessories will officially launch on Thursday, November 12, 2026.
