Pre-orders open for new figure of Zenless Zone Zero’s shark maid Ellen Joe

The figure manufacturer APEX-TOY has officially revealed a new scale figure of the character Ellen Joe from the action RPG Zenless Zone Zero.
The announcement coincides with the one-year anniversary period of the game, which was released globally in July 2024 by developer HoYoverse.

In the year since its launch, the urban fantasy title has gained a substantial player base, drawing them into its world as Proxies who guide teams through supernatural dimensions known as Hollows.

HoYoverse, the studio behind massive hits like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, has supported the game with continuous updates, building on its initial success.

The newly announced figure is a 1/7 scale reproduction of Ellen Joe, a key character from the in-game faction Victoria Housekeeping Co.

Within the game’s world, Victoria Housekeeping is a highly respected service provider, known for its skilled staff who handle both domestic chores and more violent “unpleasantries” with unmatched efficiency.

Ellen is a part of a race of anthropomorphic beings called Thiren, known for their unique blend of human and animalistic features.

Her features as a Shark Thiren are perfectly captured in the new figure, with her tail having been rendered exactly as it appears in-game.

APEX-TOY has established a reputation for producing high-quality figures based on characters from video games, including a number of previous works from the HoYoverse library.
Pre-orders for the figure have now opened, and APEX-TOY has confirmed that customers who order the figure from select retailers during the pre-order period will receive a special acrylic keychain as a pre-order bonus item.

This pre-order strategy is a common practice for collectible figures, offering fans a bonus for ordering from preferred/trusted retailers.
The figure is expected to be released in June 2026 in China and will be priced at 809 yuan (approx. $112.73 USD / £83.29 GBP) for a special “first release” price before rising to 869 yuan (approx. $121.09 USD / £89.46 GBP)

The Japanese release date has been set a month later in August 2026, and the figure will be priced at around 20,400 yen (approx. $138.88 USD / £102.63 GBP).
Some Japanese retailers are currently showing pre-order prices ranging from 20-500 yen higher than the currently advised price, which suggests that the figure is expected to be in high demand, leading to a premium being charged on pre-orders.
