Now That We Draw Anime Premieres First Key Visual

The upcoming TV anime adaptation of the romantic comedy manga Now That We Draw has unveiled its first key visual during a stage event at AnimeJapan 2026 on March 28, 2026.
The new artwork features the series’ two central characters, Niina Miyamoto and Yuki Uehara, as they work together on drawing manga.

The original manga, written by Kyu Takahata and illustrated by Yuwji Kaba, has been serialized in Hakusensha’s Young Animal magazine since February 2023.
There are currently six volumes of the manga released in Japan, and Seven Seas Entertainment handles the English language publication of the series.
The story follows Uehara, a high schooler who struggles with realism in his manga, and Miyamoto, a talented classmate who suggests they enter a fake relationship to gain romantic experience for their work.
Voice actress Sayumi Suzushiro provides the voice for Niina Miyamoto, while Ayumu Murase portrays the male protagonist, Yuki Uehara.
While the production team has shared this new look at the series, a specific release date for the anime has not yet been announced as of March 28, 2026.
The project was initially announced on November 21, 2025, with a teaser trailer and details regarding the staff and primary cast.
Shunsuke Ishikawa is directing the adaptation at animation studio ROLL2, with series composition and scripts handled by Deko Akao.
The character designs are being produced by Hiromi Nakagawa, and the overall production is managed by the company Infinite.
