Iruma-kun Anime’s Real Life Iruma City Collab Looks to Attract Tourists with Free Exclusive Merch

Iruma City is expanding its ongoing collaboration with Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun this summer, giving fans even more reasons to visit with exclusive collectible character cards, themed shopping streets, and special railway travel offers.
Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun follows the adventures of human teenager Iruma Suzuki after he is adopted by a powerful demon and enrolled at Babyls Demon School in the Demon World.

Created by Osamu Nishi, the manga began serialization in Weekly Shonen Champion in March 2017 and has surpassed 20 million copies in circulation as of March 2026, with the anime adaptation introducing the series to fans around the world.
The collaboration is part of the ongoing “Welcome to Demon School! Iruma City DeviDevi Stamp Rally Operation!” project, which launched on May 27, 2026, through a partnership between Iruma City and Seibu Railway to encourage visitors to explore Iruma City Station and its surrounding shopping districts.

From July 17 through November 30, visitors can collect a special series of trading card-style “Iruma City Support Squad Special Certification Cards” featuring 15 different characters paired with recommended sightseeing spots throughout the city.

The first collection period runs from July 17 until September 23 and includes seven different cards, while the second period begins on September 24 and continues until November 30 with the remaining eight designs completing the full 15-card collection.

The collectible cards are available while supplies last from participating stores located throughout the Apopo Shopping Street and Machiya-dori Community Shopping Street areas, encouraging visitors to explore local businesses while searching for every design.
The collaboration has also transformed Apopo Shopping Street itself, where the streetlights have been illuminated in a mystical blue inspired by the anime’s Demon World setting.

Beginning on July 18, visitors will also find decorative flags featuring all 15 collaboration characters displayed against artwork showcasing Babyls Demon School and Iruma City’s famous tea fields, creating an immersive welcome throughout the shopping district.
Fans visiting on July 30 and July 31 can also attend the Iruma City Station Front Alley Summer 2026 event, where life-sized character panels of Iruma and his friends will be displayed alongside food trucks, live street music performances, traditional cooling water activities, and the distribution of cardboard fans made using recycled tea leaves.

Visitors can also purchase the special Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun × Seibu Railway Discount Excursion Ticket, priced at ¥1,800 (approx. $12 USD / £9 GBP), which includes a Seibu Railway and Seibu Bus travel pass, a Mitsui Outlet Park Iruma shopping coupon, an exclusive collaboration sticker exchange voucher and an information ticket.
The exclusive collaboration sticker can be redeemed at participating stores within the Apopo Shopping Street and Machiya-dori Community Shopping Street areas.

The Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun × Seibu Railway Discount Excursion Ticket will be available from July 17 through September 23, 2026.
The Iruma City Support Squad Special Certification Card campaign begins on July 17, 2026, with the second wave launching on September 24 before the entire collaboration concludes on November 30, 2026.

A list of participating stores for all events is available on the official Iruma City website.
