New Trailer and Visual Reveals Blue Box Season 2 will Premiere this October

The Blue Box stage event held at AnimeJapan 2026 on March 28, 2026, revealed a new teaser trailer and visual for the second season of the hit sports romance anime.

Production officials confirmed that the series is scheduled to return to Japanese television on October 4, 2026, at 16:30 JST.

The story follows the developing relationship between badminton player Taiki Inomata and basketball star Chinatsu Kano as they navigate high school sports and their shared living situation.

Yoshino Aoyama has joined the voice cast as Yumeka Goto, a character identified as a former basketball teammate of the female lead, Chinatsu Kano.

Daisuke Sato is taking over as director for the new season at studio Electric Circus, following the first season, which was animated by Telecom Animation Film under director Yuichiro Yano.

Returning staff members include series composer Yuko Kakihara and character designer Miho Tanino, who will also serve as the chief animation director.

The technical team for the second season includes art director Azusa Ishii, color designer Narumi Konno, and director of photography Yuki Kawashita.

Sound production remains consistent with Jin Aketagawa as sound director and Takashi Ohmama returning to compose the music.

The project is produced by Unlimited Produce by TMS and continues the adaptation of Koji Miura’s manga, which has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since April 12, 2021.

This announcement follows the conclusion of the first season, which aired twenty five episodes between October 3, 2024, and March 27, 2025.
