New That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime Movie Trailer Features Gobta

Bandai Namco Filmworks has unveiled a new character trailer for the upcoming anime film That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea.
The promotional video, titled Otokogi (Manliness) MAX Gobta PV, highlights the character Gobta, who is voiced by Asuna Tomari and serves as a central figure in this new cinematic story.
This production represents the second theatrical feature for the franchise, following the 2022 debut of Scarlet Bond, and is once again animated by studio eightbit.
The film premiered across 348 theaters in Japan on February 27, 2026, and maintained a position in the domestic box office top 10 for three consecutive weeks.
International fans can look forward to a global theatrical release through Crunchyroll, which is scheduled to take place throughout April and May 2026.
The plot follows Rimuru and his companions as they travel to a private resort island at the invitation of Celestial Emperor Hermesia of the Magi Dynasty Salion.
This tropical vacation is interrupted by the appearance of a mysterious woman named Yura, leading to a new conflict set against the backdrop of the sea.
Director Yasuhito Kikuchi returned to lead the project and co-wrote the script with Toshizo Nemoto, based on an original story by series creator Fuse.
The creative team also includes character designer Ryoma Ebata and composer Hitoshi Fujima, both of whom have contributed to the aesthetic and sound of the series.
In addition to the movie news, the franchise is expanding on television as a fourth season of the anime is set to begin airing in Japan on April 3, 2026.
