New Official BLEACH: TYBW Artbook Arrives Ahead of Anime’s Final Season
A new behind-the-scenes art book celebrating the first cour of BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War is set to arrive this month, accompanied by an extensive collection of exclusive merchandise and a special in-store campaign for fans.
BLEACH, created by Tite Kubo, remains one of the most influential battle manga and anime series of all time, with more than 130 million manga copies in circulation worldwide and over 360 television episodes produced since the anime first premiered in 2004.
The Thousand-Year Blood War anime began adapting the manga’s final story arc in 2022, with its concluding cour, BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity, scheduled to begin broadcasting on July 25, 2026.
The centerpiece of the new release is “TV Anime BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Animation Works,” a comprehensive production archive covering the anime’s first cour.
Across nearly 300 pages, the book showcases original key animation, color setting materials, background art, 3DCG assets and other production resources that helped bring the series to life.
The cover features an all-new illustration created by character designer Masashi Kudo, making the publication both a production archive and a collectible in its own right.
Studio Pierrot is also releasing a selection of merchandise using the same newly illustrated cover artwork alongside items featuring production artwork from the anime’s first cour.
The “Animation Works Tote Bag,” priced at ¥3,850 (approx. $26 USD / £19 GBP), features the book’s exclusive cover illustration on a practical everyday bag.
The “Yamamoto Genryusai Shigekuni Mug,” priced at ¥1,650 (approx. $11 USD / £8 GBP), highlights the legendary Captain-Commander in a design suitable for daily use.
The “Graphic Cut Acrylic Block Collection, priced at ¥880 per pack (approx. $6 USD / £4 GBP) or ¥7,040 per box of eight packs (approx. $48 USD / £35 GBP), recreates memorable scenes from the anime using first cour production artwork across eight different designs.
A new T-Shirt collection, priced at ¥3,850 each (approx. $26 USD / £19 GBP), includes three different designs inspired by the series.
The “Original Animation Badge Collection,” priced at ¥440 per pack (approx. $3 USD / £2 GBP) or ¥7,920 per box of 18 packs (approx. $54 USD / £39 GBP), features 18 collectible badge designs based on original production artwork.
The “Original Animation Mini Frame Collection Vol. 2,” priced at ¥660 per pack (approx. $5 USD / £3 GBP) or ¥6,600 per box of 10 packs (approx. $45 USD / £33 GBP), presents additional framed key animation illustrations across ten different designs.
The “Original Animation Postcard Set Vol. 4,” priced at ¥1,320 (approx. $9 USD / £7 GBP), adds another collection of production artwork for fans to display or collect.
The “Changing Acrylic Keychains,” priced at ¥990 each (approx. $7 USD / £5 GBP), are available in five different character designs.
The “Replica Original Artwork Style Sets,” priced at ¥2,200 each (approx. $15 USD / £11 GBP), are available in three different variations inspired by scenes from the anime.
To celebrate the launch, Animate stores across Japan and the Animate online store will host the “TV Anime BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Animation Works Release Fair,” where customers will receive one randomly selected bookmark from a set of six for every ¥1,100 (approx. $8 USD / £6 GBP) spent on BLEACH merchandise or for each eligible BLEACH book, music or video product purchased during the campaign.
Fans visiting Animate Ikebukuro’s flagship store on the launch day will also have the opportunity to meet Ichigo Kurosaki during a special character greeting event, with appearances scheduled throughout the day at 11:00 AM, 1:30 PM, 4:00 PM and 6:30 PM, with the indoor venue used if weather conditions require it.
“TV Anime BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Animation Works,” priced at ¥7,150 (approx. $49 USD / £36 GBP), together with the accompanying merchandise, will be available from Animate, Studio Pierrot Store and other online retailers beginning July 15, 2026.
The “TV Anime BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Animation Works Release Fair” will run from July 15 through August 9, 2026.
