New Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster merch features art from an all-star roster of illustrators

A new line of merchandise based on the “Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster” series has been announced by Square Enix.
The “Pixel Remaster” project is a series of games that remastered the first six mainline Final Fantasy titles with beautifully redrawn and unified 2D pixel art.

This new merchandise collection includes exclusive, original illustrations from five different artists who are themselves fans of the Final Fantasy series.
Each artist has contributed new artwork in their own signature style.
The participating illustrators are:
- Takashi Mifune, best known for the ubiquitous “Irasutoya” style of free-to-use illustrations
- hncl, also known as hungry_clicker, an illustrator who has worked on the Pokémon TCG
- Bkub Okawa, the creator of Pop Team Epic
- Naoki Saito, a popular artist and YouTuber
- Kouhaku Kuroboshi, a renowned character designer
This new artwork is featured on a variety of collectible goods including postcard, clear file, and can badge sets that all feature the new artwork from the five guest illustrators:
- Illustrator-Drawn Postcard Set: ¥1,650

- Illustrator-Drawn Clear File Set: ¥2,970

- Illustrator-Drawn Can Badge Set: ¥2,970

A mug and a glasses case that are decorated with the official character sprite art from the Pixel Remaster games will also be available:
- Mug (featuring Pixel Remaster character art): ¥2,750


- Glasses Case with Cleaning Cloth (featuring Pixel Remaster character art): ¥2,970

This new collection offers a unique tribute to the classic era of the franchise, seen through the eyes of other celebrated creators.
Pre-orders for the five new products are currently open via the official Square Enix online store.
All five of the new Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster merchandise items are scheduled to be released on Saturday, the 4th of October, 2025.
