Yu-Gi-Oh! Turns Joey’s Red-Eyes Black Dragon Into a Stunning New Official LED Diorama Lamp
Image by James RichardsonYu-Gi-Oh!’s Red-Eyes Black Dragon is getting a new official LED diorama lamp from Forge Panda, recreating Joey Wheeler’s signature monster in the middle of unleashing its Black Flame attack.
The new release follows Forge Panda’s earlier “Blue-Eyes White Dragon Diorama LED Lamp,” bringing another of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! anime’s most recognizable dragons to the illuminated display series.
Red-Eyes Black Dragon originally belonged to Rex Raptor before Joey defeated him during the Duelist Kingdom tournament and won the Level 7 Dragon-Type monster as a result of their duel.
It would go on to become Joey’s signature monster throughout Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, accompanying him through many of his biggest duels and becoming closely associated with the idea of untapped potential that runs through his story.
Red-Eyes Black Dragon has been the focus of several other new releases over the past year, including a 24cm figure from Kotobukiya’s OSHI WORKS line that uses adjustable connection points to give fans some control over how the dragon is positioned on its display base.
Forge Panda’s new lamp takes a much more dramatic approach, showing Red-Eyes airborne with its wings spread as it fires its Black Flame attack into the scene below.
The dragon itself has been created using a 3D-printed model with hand-painted details, while spiraling deep-red energy surrounds its body alongside a tall formation of jagged rocks.
The entire battle scene is encased in epoxy resin, creating the appearance of the attack and surrounding energy being suspended in place at the moment they erupt around Red-Eyes Black Dragon.
Everything sits above an ancient ruins-inspired base decorated with Duel Monsters-style hieroglyphs, which also hides one of the lamp’s more unusual features.
A magnetic Millennium Puzzle Key is included with the lamp and can be touched against a concealed activation point on the base to switch the lighting on and off.
The key can also be removed and worn separately as either a charm or necklace, giving the familiar Millennium Puzzle design a purpose beyond simply controlling the lamp.
For more control over the display, the lamp can connect to Wi-Fi and works with the WLED app, allowing owners to adjust its colors, brightness, animations and other lighting effects from a compatible device.
Power is supplied through USB-C, with a cable included alongside the Millennium Puzzle Key, cleaning pad, gloves and instruction guide.
Pre-orders are now open through retailers including BigBadToyStore, where the officially licensed Forge Panda lamp is listed for $249.99, in line with its suggested retail price of $250 USD.
The “Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters Red-Eyes Black Dragon Diorama LED Lamp” is currently expected to begin shipping on October 30, 2026.
