Madoka Magica’s Soul Gems and Dark Orb Inspire New Official Luxury Jewelry Collection
Image by James RichardsonJapanese jewelry maker U-TREASURE has unveiled a new official Madoka Magica collection inspired by the Soul Gems and Dark Orb that play major roles throughout the series.
The range includes six wearable necklaces alongside six miniature figures that recreate the same magical items using premium materials including K18 yellow gold and platinum.
Soul Gems are physical manifestations of a magical girl’s soul and have been central to Puella Magi Madoka Magica since the original 2011 anime, with their true nature becoming one of the revelations that changes how Madoka and the others understand their contracts with Kyubey.
Homura’s Dark Orb has a different origin, appearing after her Soul Gem is transformed by the extreme emotions that drive the conclusion of Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Rebellion.
Both have become especially relevant again following the Japanese theatrical release of Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Walpurgisnacht Rising, which continues directly from the altered world created at the end of Rebellion.
The same items also featured in a recent fashion collection from ANNA SUI which transformed Madoka’s Soul Gem and Homura’s Dark Orb into necklaces alongside bags, wallets and other accessories.

The Madoka, Mami, Sayaka and Kyoko necklaces use silver 925 finished with yellow-gold coating, while Nagisa’s Soul Gem receives the same material treatment at a higher price due to its different construction.
Homura’s Dark Orb instead uses silver 925 with a black coating, with the emblem associated with Devil Homura recreated across the underside of the pendant.

U-TREASURE is taking the same designs considerably further with its miniature figure collection, replacing coated silver with precious metals and recreating each piece at roughly 15 mm in size.
The five Soul Gem miniatures are made from K18 yellow gold, while Homura’s Dark Orb uses platinum 950 with a black coating and measures around 14 mm across.
Each miniature is produced by jewelry craftsmen and comes housed inside a dedicated wooden and acrylic display case, turning the pieces into small display objects rather than wearable accessories:

Only 15 of each miniature figure will be produced, making these considerably more limited than the accompanying necklaces and allowing individual designs to close before the end of the wider pre-order period if their allocations are reached.
Walpurgisnacht Rising has already produced a wide range of merchandise around its Japanese theatrical release, including a light-up cinema popcorn box that places Madoka and Homura on opposite sides of a stained-glass-inspired design.
Image by James RichardsonPre-orders for the new U-TREASURE Madoka Magica collection opened on September 24 and are scheduled to remain available until November 6, 2026 through the U-TREASURE online store, its Ikebukuro and Shinsaibashi concept stores and participating Animate locations.
Orders are currently expected to begin shipping from around March 23, 2027, although the limited miniature figures may close earlier if all 15 pieces of a design are reserved.
