Lords Of The Fallen II Releases New Umbral Gameplay Trailer

Publisher CI Games and developer Hexworks have unveiled a new gameplay trailer for Lords of the Fallen II, showcasing the significant evolution of the Umbral realm.
The footage was released on March 25, 2026, as part of the ninth episode of the Lifting the Veil developer roundtable series.
Creative leaders including Ryan Hill and James Lowe discussed the transition to Umbral 20, which has been redesigned based on player feedback from the first title.
In this sequel, the Umbral realm is described as a more aggressive and oppressive force that acts as a realm of the undead.
Players will continue to use the Umbral Lamp to navigate between the dark fantasy world of Axiom and the grotesque mirror world of Umbral.
The new version of the otherworld features varied biomes and a tendency for the dead realm to bleed into the mortal world.
Mechanics for environmental danger have been overhauled to be influenced by player activity rather than a simple linear timer.
New terrifying entities inhabit the shadows, with the ability to morph into more lethal forms to challenge Lampbearers.
The combat system has been enhanced with a brand new dismemberment feature and updated execution animations.
Set 1,000 years after the defeat of the demon god Adyr, the story follows a lone kingdom standing against the eldritch master of the Umbral realm.
Lords of the Fallen II is currently in active development and is scheduled to launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via the Epic Games Store in 2026.
