JoJo’s Sleepy Adventure: Cute new JJBA figures are coming to gashapon machines

Takara Tomy Arts have announced the upcoming release of a new capsule toy series based on JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.
These collectible figures are part of the “Shoulder Zun Fig.” range, which is characterized by their unique design depicting characters in a sleepy pose.
Each character’s head is tilted, allowing it to cutely rest on the shoulders of other figures of the same type.
The new “Shoulder Zun Fig. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Phantom Blood/Battle Tendency” figures will be available in gashapon machines across Japan starting from mid-May.

They will be priced at 400 yen each, but will be sold at random as is the case with all products sold in gashapon machines.
The initial lineup for the “Shoulder Zun Fig.” series will focus on the first season of the popular “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” anime adaptation, encompassing the “Phantom Blood” and “Battle Tendency” story arcs.

The first wave of figures will include four iconic characters from these early parts of the series:
- the noble protagonist, Jonathan Joestar
- his charismatic and malevolent adoptive brother, Dio Brando
- the resourceful and quick-witted Joseph Joestar, Jonathan’s grandson
- the charming Hamon-wielder Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli, a key ally of Joseph

Each figure in the “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Shoulder Zun Fig.” series will have a height of approximately 53 millimeters.
This compact size makes them ideal for collecting and displaying in various arrangements, staying true to the appeal of gashapon collectibles.

The first volume of “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Shoulder Zun Fig.” focuses on “Phantom Blood” and “Battle Tendency”, which will no doubt appeal to long-time fans of the “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” franchise, allowing them to collect figures of the characters that started the epic saga and are sometimes overlooked when compared to more popular chapters of the series such as “Stardust Crusaders”.

This release comes at a time when the “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” series is back in the news, following the announcement that the “Steel Ball Run” storyline will now be receiving an anime adaptation and an official JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure store will be opening in Tokyo.

As fans eagerly anticipate the latest anime adaptation of the manga series, these “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Shoulder Zun Fig.” collectibles offer a fun and accessible way to celebrate the earlier chapters of the “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” universe.
