Demon Slayer’s Nichirin Swords Become Traditional Japanese Hair Ornaments for New Official Collab Collection
Image by James RichardsonJapanese fashion brand MAYLA has revealed six new Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba hair ornaments inspired by Tanjiro Kamado and five of the series’ most recognizable Hashira.
Demon Slayer follows Tanjiro after his family is attacked by a demon and his sister Nezuko is transformed into one, leading him to join the Demon Slayer Corps in search of a way to restore her humanity.
The new collection draws directly from the individual Nichirin Swords, clothing and Breathing Styles used by Tanjiro, Giyu Tomioka, Kyojuro Rengoku, Tengen Uzui, Muichiro Tokito and Sanemi Shinazugawa.
MAYLA has previously created fashion collections based on franchises including Cardcaptor Sakura and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, with its latest collaboration once again translating familiar character details into accessories designed for everyday wear.
Each “Demon Slayer Iconique Hair Objet Majeste Kanzashi + Multi-Charm” uses a traditional Japanese folding fan silhouette, connecting the collection to the historical setting and visual identity of Demon Slayer.
A removable hairpin inspired by the featured character’s Nichirin Sword slides through the fan-shaped ornament, which displays patterns associated with their clothing alongside flowing lines representing their Breathing Style.
Additional beads and a recreation of the character’s sword guard complete each design, allowing the collection to reference recognizable weapons without simply producing miniature replicas.
The Tanjiro Kamado design incorporates elements from his familiar green and black checkered haori, with flowing details reflecting the sword techniques used throughout his journey.
The Giyu Tomioka version draws from the Water Hashira’s divided haori design and Water Breathing techniques, creating a deliberately asymmetrical ornament that reflects his distinctive appearance.
The Kyojuro Rengoku design uses flame-inspired shapes and details associated with his bold white, red and yellow appearance, capturing the energy of the Flame Hashira and his Nichirin Sword.
The Tengen Uzui version reflects the Sound Hashira’s flamboyant personality through more decorative detailing, beads and weapon-inspired elements designed to give the ornament a suitably extravagant finish.
The Muichiro Tokito design takes inspiration from the Mist Hashira’s softer color palette and flowing sword style, resulting in one of the collection’s more understated and ethereal pieces.
The Sanemi Shinazugawa version combines details associated with the Wind Hashira’s clothing and sword, with sharp, sweeping lines representing the force of his Wind Breathing techniques.
Each accessory can be worn as a complete fan-shaped hair ornament or separated so that the Nichirin Sword-inspired pin can be used by itself, giving fans several ways to incorporate the design into both short and long hairstyles.
The included attachment also transforms the decorative section into a bag charm, making the collection useful even for fans who do not regularly wear hair accessories.
Every piece comes inside an exclusive presentation box and includes a dedicated display stand, allowing the detailed ornament to remain on display when it is not being worn.
The “Demon Slayer Iconique Hair Objet Majeste Kanzashi + Multi-Charm” are each priced at ¥16,500 (approx. $105 USD / £78 GBP) and are available through MAYLA’s official online store, with orders having opened on July 31, 2026.
The first shipment is currently scheduled to begin during early October 2026, with a second batch expected to follow from mid-October depending on the selected character and available stock.
