The MG 1/100 The Gundam Base Limited RX-78-2 Gundam Ver.3.0 [The Gundam Base Color] is officially back in stock at Premium Bandai US as part of the ongoing Gundam Summer Festival, giving US builders a chance to pick up the normally store-exclusive kit without having to physically visit a Gundam Base store.

The kit transforms the original RX-78-2 Gundam, replacing its traditional red, yellow, white, and blue exterior with a white and blue Gundam Base-themed color scheme.

Gundam Base original marking stickers are included for areas such as the shoulder armor and shield, adding exclusive logos and surface details that further distinguish this edition.

The underlying MG Ver.3.0 construction combines layered armor with a detailed internal frame, creating a modern interpretation of the RX-78-2 that looks suitably intricate at 1/100 scale.

Its Movable Armor System allows sections of the exterior armor to shift alongside the internal joints, maintaining the model’s mechanical appearance as the arms and legs are repositioned.

Movable shoulder armor and backpack covers improve the freedom available around the arms, while opening panels behind the lower legs increase the ankle movement needed for wider and more natural poses.

The kit also includes a transformable Core Fighter that can be displayed independently or converted and stored inside the Gundam’s torso.
