Hatsune Miku announces year long collab with popular Harajuku sweets chain

A new collaboration has been announced between the virtual singer Hatsune Miku and her fellow “Piapro Characters” and the specialty dorayaki shop, YURINAN.
YURINAN is a popular sweets shop with locations on Harajuku’s famous Takeshita Street and Kamakura’s Komachi Street, known for its modern take on dorayaki, a classic Japanese confection made of two small pancakes with a filling.

The chain regularly teams up with popular franchises and characters to release special menus, as seen earlier this year when it collaborated with Sanrio’s Cinnamoroll.

The new Hatsune Miku collaboration will feature a menu of original food and drinks, as well as a line of exclusive merchandise featuring new character illustrations.
The menu includes two new, collaboration-exclusive flavors of YURINAN’s signature dorayaki sandwich.

One is the “Choco Chip Mint DORA,” which features a cream filling colored in Hatsune Miku’s signature blue-green.
The second is the “MATCHA strawberry DORA,” which combines traditional Japanese green tea flavor with strawberry.
Each dorayaki sandwich will be stamped with a random branding iron print featuring one of the six Piapro Characters: Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO, or KAITO.
The collaboration menu and its associated bonus gifts are as follows:

- Dorayaki Sandwich (Choco Chip Mint or MATCHA strawberry): ¥800
- Comes with one of six possible random acrylic charms as a gift.
- Kiwi Soda Float: ¥800
- Comes with one of six possible random acrylic charms as a gift.
- Dorayaki Pancakes (one pair): ¥340
- Customers who purchase three sets of the plain pancakes will receive one of six random acrylic charms.
- Hatsune Miku Mini Dora (box of 3, chocolate flavor): ¥1,000
- Comes with one original sticker as a gift.
A lineup of original merchandise will also be available for purchase at the shops and online.

- Hatsune Miku Acrylic Stand: ¥2,200
- Hatsune Miku Can Badge: ¥550
- Random Mini Acrylic Stand: ¥1,000 per random stand, or ¥6,000 for a complete set of six.
- Random Sticker: ¥400 per random sticker, or ¥2,400 for a set containing five normal stickers and one random holo sticker.
This partnership is planned to be a long-term event, running for approximately one year.
The collaboration officially begins at the YURINAN locations in Harajuku and Kamakura on Friday, the 18th of July, at 11:00 AM.

The merchandise will also become available for purchase online starting at 12:00 PM on the same day from the Yurinan online store. It should be noted that the page will only become live after the start of the collaboration.
