Haibara’s Teenage New Game+ Casts Aimi for Upcoming Anime

The upcoming television anime adaptation of the romantic comedy light novel series Haibara’s Teenage New Game+ has officially announced a new addition to its voice acting cast.

Singer and voice actor Aimi, recognized for her role as Kuina Sazanami in TOUGEN ANKI, will join the production to portray Serika Hondo.

The character is described as a classmate of Miori who possesses a deep passion for rock music and participates in the school’s light music club.

The series is scheduled to begin its broadcast in Japan on April 2, 2024.

Hobby Japan currently publishes the original light novels under its HJ Bunko imprint, with a total of nine volumes released in Japan as of March 2024.

The original work is written by Kazuki Amamiya and features illustrations provided by the artist Gin.

Misuzu Hoshino is directing the anime at Studio Comet, working alongside series compositor Keiichiro Ochi and character designer Hiromi Ono.

Sonosuke Takao is responsible for composing the musical score for the adaptation.

J-Novel Club handles the English language publication of the series, which follows the story of a socially anxious college senior named Natsuki Haibara.

After reflecting on his regrets from high school, the protagonist unexpectedly finds himself transported seven years into the past, arriving one month before his first year of high school begins.

Haibara must use his second chance to navigate social hierarchies and pursue his romantic interests while avoiding the mistakes of his previous timeline.

The narrative tracks his efforts to transform his life through willpower, exercise, and the support of a childhood friend.
