Bandai’s new “Gundam Card Game” will be released with four Starter Decks when it launches.
The “Heroic Beginnings [ST01]” Starter Deck is one of the first decks available for the game.
This pre-constructed deck is designed to be the perfect entry point for new players, offering a balanced and classic gameplay experience featuring iconic Mobile Suits and pilots from two generations of the Gundam universe.

A Bridge Between Eras: The Blue and White Deck
The “Heroic Beginnings [ST01]” deck contains a powerful combination of cards from the original Mobile Suit Gundam and the recent fan-favorite, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury.
The deck’s strategy is built around the “Blue” and “White” card colors, which offer a balanced approach to battle.
Players will be able to command legendary heroes like Amuro Ray and his RX-78-2 Gundam, alongside modern protagonists such as Suletta Mercury and her Gundam Aerial.

The Starter Deck “Heroic Beginnings [ST01]” is a complete package, providing everything a new player needs to dive into the game.
Each deck contains:
- A ready-to-play, 50-card pre-constructed deck.
- 10 Resource Cards to fuel your plays.
- 8 Token Cards for various in-game effects
- A paper damage counter.
- A rule and playsheet to help you learn the game.
- A bonus pack containing one of 16 possible cards from the deck with a special full-art holographic treatment.

GUNDAM ASSEMBLE Special Edition Deck
For collectors and Gunpla enthusiasts, there’s also a special edition of the Starter Deck, titled “GUNDAM ASSEMBLE Starter Set Heroic Beginnings [ST01A]”.
This version includes three “GUNDAM ASSEMBLE” miniature Gunpla figures: the TP-001 Gundam, TP-002 Guncannon, and TP-003 Guntank.
These unassembled miniatures can be used as tokens in the card game, adding a unique 3D element to the gameplay and they can also be used in the upcoming GUNDAM ASSEMBLE tabletop miniatures game.
“Heroic Beginnings [ST01]” is just one of four starter decks launching on July 11th, 2025.
The other three decks are:
- Wings of Advance [ST02]: A Green and Blue deck based on Mobile Suit Gundam Wing.
- Zeon’s Rush [ST03]: A Red and Green deck featuring various Zeon units from different eras.
- SEED Strike [ST04]: A White and Red deck focused on Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and “linked units”.
Following the starter decks, the first booster pack, “Newtype Rising [GD01]”, will be released on July 25th, 2025, to expand the card pool and offer more options for strengthening your decks.
The “Gundam Card Game” also has a full release schedule planned for the next six months with more Starter Decks and Booster Pack sets planned to be released.
