Giant 3D ads appear in Tokyo to celebrate the release of Berserk manga’s 43rd volume

A new, immersive advertising campaign has been launched in Tokyo’s Shibuya Station to celebrate the release of the 43rd volume of the dark fantasy manga, Berserk.
The new promotion, which began on Monday, the 1st of September, 2025, is themed around the ominous title, “The Grim Reaper Attacks.”

Berserk, the legendary and influential manga from the late creator Kentaro Miura, is now being continued by his close friend, the manga artist Kouji Mori, and his team of assistants at Studio Gaga.

This new campaign for the latest volume brings one of the series’ terrifying antagonists, the “Death God” Rakshas, to life in a striking public display.

The main part of the promotion is a giant, three-dimensional poster.

This advertisement features the creepy, masked apostle appearing to burst through the wall, creating a startling and memorable visual for commuters.

A second, digital signage video advertisement is also being displayed, which shows the shadowy character moving menacingly in the darkness.
The advertisements are located in the underground area of Shibuya Station.
The giant 3D poster is located at the “Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line Shibuya Dogenzaka Happy Board,” a large ad space near the A0 and A1 exits.
The digital signage is being displayed on the walls of a staircase near the Hachiko exit of the same train line.

The advertising campaign is a limited-time event, and both the 3D poster and the digital signage are only scheduled to be on display from Monday, 1st September 2025, to Sunday, 7th September 2025.
The 43rd volume of the Berserk manga was released in Japan on Friday, the 29th of August, 2025.
