G Gundam's 30th Anniversary prize lottery returns for a limited-time resale

Bandai Spirits is re-releasing its popular lottery based on the anime series Mobile Fighter G Gundam to commemorate its 30th anniversary.

The “Ichiban Kuji Mobile Fighter G Gundam 30th Anniversary” collection will be available again exclusively through Bandai’s online Ichiban Kuji platform.

G Gundam, which first aired in 1994, was a significant departure from the traditional military-focused narrative of the Gundam franchise.

It introduced a “Gundam Fight” tournament, where nations battle each other with representative Gundams in a martial arts-style competition, lending the series a unique, high-energy “super robot” feel.

“Ichiban Kuji” is a “no-lose” lottery system where every ticket purchased wins a prize from a tiered lineup.

The top prize in this collection, the “A Prize,” is a large, approximately 21-centimeter figure of the God Gundam from the “KONGOJI-ZOU” figure line.

A particularly unique item is the “B Prize,” a handheld fan designed to look like Master Asia unleashing his “Super Class Supreme King Electric Shadow Bullet,” or “Choukyuu Haou Den’eidan”, ultimate attack.

It is a variant of the A Prize figure, depicting the God Gundam in its golden “Hyper Mode” powered-up state.

The lottery’s “Double Chance Campaign” offers ticket buyers an additional online lottery for a chance to win one of 30 more of the same “Hyper Mode” figure.
