Ado to Perform Theme Song for Upcoming Live-Action BLUE LOCK Film

A new trailer for the upcoming live-action adaptation of the soccer manga BLUE LOCK has revealed that popular Japanese solo artist Ado will perform the film’s official theme song.
The song serves as the soundtrack to a newly revealed second trailer, which confirms the track is titled “Monstruo”.
Alongside the second trailer, a brand new key visual was unveiled, which shows off some of the key players amongst the currently confirmed cast.

The original manga series, written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura, is currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine and previously won the 45th Kodansha Manga Award in the Shonen category.

The story centers on a specialized training system called the “Blue Lock” project, which was established by the Japan Football Union to breed the world’s greatest egoist striker to lead the national team to a World Cup victory.
Inside this facility, 300 high school forwards are forced to compete against one another in a survival-style selection process where losing means banning themselves from ever representing the country.

The series has so far received a two-cour anime series in October 2022, followed by Blue Lock: Episode Nagi, a theatrical animated movie focusing on the character Seishiro Nagi in April 2024.
Ado’s new theme song “Monstruo,” which translates to “Monster” in Spanish, was created in conjunction with a production team comprised of some of Japan’s leading musical talents.

The track features composition and arrangement by the musical duo Giga & TeddyLoid, while the lyrics were penned by ryo from the group supercell.
The song incorporates a Latin-inspired rhythm mixed with fast-paced rap sections that match the intense energy of the characters.

Blue Lock’s film adaptation is set to star a number of well known faces, with casting so far being widely praised by fans who are eager to see some of their favorite characters realized in live-action.
Fumiya Takahashi stars as the main protagonist Yoichi Isagi, alongside Kaito Sakurai as Meguru Bachira and Kyohei Takahashi as Hyoma Chigiri.

The lineup also features Kota Nomura as Rensuke Kunigami, Masataka Kubota as Jinpachi Ego, and &TEAM member K playing the role of Seishiro Nagi.

Behind the camera, Yusuke Taki is directing the feature film based on a screenplay written by Tetsuo Kamata.
Shinzo Matsuhashi is serving as the lead producer, with CREDEUS handling the physical film production and TOHO overseeing the domestic distribution.

The live-action BLUE LOCK film is scheduled to open in theaters across Japan on Friday, August 7, 2026.
Advance movie tickets featuring custom visual designs will become available for fans to purchase starting on Friday, June 12, 2026.
