Live-Action BLUE LOCK Movie Reveals Nagi Casting

The upcoming live-action adaptation of the popular sports anime “BLUE LOCK” has announced a major casting addition.
K, a prominent member of the music group &TEAM, will step onto the pitch to portray the lethargic but incredibly talented football prodigy Seishiro Nagi.

“BLUE LOCK” is a sports thriller manga created by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura, focusing on a ruthless training regimen designed to create the ultimate striker for the Japanese national team.
The original manga gained the attention of fans due to its intense psychological drama, completely subverting traditional themes of teamwork found in conventional sports series.

Instead, the narrative forces high school athletes to compete in grueling elimination challenges where only the most selfish and driven players can survive.
This unique approach to the genre has already spawned a hit anime adaptation produced by studio eightbit.

The animated universe continues to expand, with a second season directed by Yuji Haibara and a brand-new animated series currently in production.
Now, the intense soccer survival game is making the leap to live-action cinema under the direction of Yusuke Taki, featuring a screenplay written by Tetsuo Kamata.

The production team recently shared an official character poster showcasing K in full costume, ready to join a massive ensemble cast of rising Japanese actors:
