Dragon Quest Smash/Grow Opens Pre-Registration
Square Enix has officially announced that pre-registration for the upcoming roguelite RPG Dragon Quest Smash/Grow is now available for mobile users.
The game is currently open for pre-registration on the Apple App Store for iOS devices and Google Play for Android devices as of March 16, 2026.
Developed by Square Enix, this new entry in the long-running franchise is scheduled to launch sometime in 2026.
Dragon Quest Smash/Grow is designed as a fast-paced action experience that blends intuitive combat with classic role-playing elements.
Players will navigate through mysterious dungeons known as rifts alongside a mechanical companion named Roly to restore order to the world.
The gameplay loop focuses on smashing through swarms of monsters and utilizing iconic Coup de Grâce attacks to clear stages.
A core mechanic involves the use of random Blessings that reshuffle every stage, requiring players to adapt their tactical strategy for every run.
The title features a variety of classic vocations that players can use to forge their party and unlock specialized abilities through vocation tree nodes.
Social features include cooperative quests where up to four players can join forces to tackle formidable bosses in Shrines or survive the Gauntlette.
Square Enix released a new trailer on March 16, 2026, showcasing the high-speed combat and character growth systems ahead of the 2026 release date.
