Gundam Wing's Most Iconic Mobile Suit Returns with Exclusive Clear Color Gunpla Kit

Bandai has revealed a new exclusive Clear Color version of the popular MGSD Wing Gundam Zero EW, giving one of Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz’s most iconic Mobile Suits a striking transparent makeover.

Leading the latest wave of Gundam Base exclusive Gunpla kits, the MGSD Wing Gundam Zero EW [Clear Color] brings the fan-favorite super-deformed model into the growing Clear Color collection while preserving all of the engineering and articulation that made the original kit a standout.

Originally redesigned by legendary mechanical designer Hajime Katoki for Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz, the XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero EW is instantly recognizable thanks to its dramatic angelic Wing Binders, which can also fold around the Mobile Suit to create its distinctive Neo Bird Mode.

The exclusive Clear Color edition replaces the standard exterior armor with transparent components, allowing builders to appreciate the intricate internal frame hidden beneath the surface.

Bandai has also incorporated its Reflection Cut technology into the armor parts, helping to further emphasize the metallic internal structure visible through the clear exterior.

The kit retains the original MGSD release’s detailed inner frame construction, impressive articulation, expanding armor gimmicks, Twin Buster Rifle, shield, and multiple display configurations.

Its articulated Wing Binders allow builders to recreate dramatic atmospheric entry poses, while the Neo Bird transformation can be displayed in both its folded space-flight configuration and fully deployed atmospheric mode.

The MGSD Wing Gundam Zero EW [Clear Color] is joined by two additional Gundam Base exclusive Clear Color releases arriving throughout July.

The first is the HG 1/144 Z’Gok (SEED FREEDOM Ver.) [Clear Color], which transforms the Mobile Suit’s armor into transparent parts that reveal the Infinite Justice Gundam Type II-inspired internal frame concealed beneath.

Metallic molded components have been used for the joints and backpack to create greater contrast beneath the clear armor, while interchangeable parts allow builders to recreate the battle-damaged head and deploy the superheated claw effects seen in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM.

The kit also remains compatible with selected components from the separately sold HG 1/144 Infinite Justice Gundam Type II, offering additional customization opportunities for experienced builders.

Completing the lineup is the Gundam Base Limited FULL MECHANICS 1/100 Gundam Aerial [Clear Color], which features newly molded clear blue and clear white armor that highlights the Mobile Suit’s highly detailed internal construction.

Metallic molded parts throughout the frame and beam rifle enhance the visual impact beneath the transparent armor, while the original kit’s advanced engineering has been retained, including its synchronized sliding leg mechanism and segmented feet for improved posing and ground contact.

The Gundam Base Limited FULL MECHANICS 1/100 Gundam Aerial [Clear Color] and the Gundam Base Limited MGSD Wing Gundam Zero EW [Clear Color], priced at ¥5,280 (approx. $36 USD / £27 GBP), will both be released exclusively through Gundam Base stores on July 18, 2026.
