Trunks’ Time Machine Headlines Dragon Ball’s New Transforming Capsule Figure Collection

Bandai has officially unveiled a brand-new transforming collectible based on Trunks’ iconic Time Machine as part of the debut wave for its all-new CHANGEARTS figure line that will be released under the TAMASHII NATIONS brand.
CHANGEARTS is an entirely new series of figures that combines TAMASHII NATIONS’ transformation technology with famous characters and signature items from popular series, creating collectibles that are equally fun to transform and display.

The inaugural Dragon Ball wave is centred around Bulma’s famous Hoi-Poi Capsules, also known as DynoCaps in the English dub, bringing four of the series’ most recognisable inventions and vehicles to life in transformable form.

Each capsule stands approximately 11 cm tall and faithfully recreates the vibrant yet minimalist appearance seen throughout the anime, complete with smooth finishes and authentic printed labels.

The new “Hoi-Poi Capsule No. 433 Trunks’ Time Machine” headlines the first Dragon Ball releases, showcasing the series’ unique transformation concept as it converts from a capsule into one of the franchise’s most memorable vehicles.

It features an opening transparent canopy, intricately sculpted thrusters and accurately reproduced body markings applied using transfer printing.

Joining Trunks’ Time Machine is “Hoi-Poi Capsule No. 576 Bulma’s Plane,” which transforms into Bulma’s aircraft featuring a transparent cockpit canopy that reveals the interior, along with an opening rear hatch for additional play and display options.

The collection also includes “Hoi-Poi Capsule No. 9 Bulma’s Bike,” recreating her iconic motorcycle with a clear windscreen, detailed headlight, and precisely printed markings across the body.

Completing the launch lineup is “Hoi-Poi Capsule No. 1 Capsule House,” which unfolds into the familiar portable home complete with transparent windows, a rooftop antenna, and carefully sculpted entrance details, measuring approximately 8 cm once transformed.

Together, the four transforming collectibles highlight some of the most memorable inventions and vehicles from the Dragon Ball universe, all sharing the same capsule style so they look great displayed side by side.

Each model has been engineered to provide a satisfying transformation experience without sacrificing the fine sculpting and display quality expected from TAMASHII NATIONS collectibles.

All four Dragon Ball releases, including “Hoi-Poi Capsule No. 433 Trunks’ Time Machine,” “Hoi-Poi Capsule No. 576 Bulma’s Plane,” “Hoi-Poi Capsule No. 9 Bulma’s Bike” and “Hoi-Poi Capsule No. 1 Capsule House,” are priced at ¥2,200 each (approx. $15 USD / £11 GBP).

Pre-orders for the complete CHANGEARTS debut lineup will begin on July 1, 2026, through reputable hobby goods retailers such as HobbyLink Japan, with Bulma’s Bike and Capsule House scheduled for release in December 2026, followed by Bulma’s Plane and Trunks’ Time Machine in January 2027.
