CASIO Unveils Pokémon 30th Anniversary G-SHOCK Collab Watch
CASIO has unveiled a special collaboration with Pokémon to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary, introducing a commemorative G-SHOCK watch inspired by three decades of Pokémon history.
The new “GA-110PKM-7AJR” transforms the world of Pokémon into a wearable collector’s item by combining classic franchise references with the rugged styling of the popular G-SHOCK GA-110.
Pokémon first debuted in 1996 with the Game Boy titles Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green, introducing players to a world of mysterious creatures that could be caught, trained, traded, and battled with friends.
Since then, the franchise has expanded far beyond video games into trading cards, television animation, movies, mobile apps, merchandise, and countless other forms of entertainment, becoming one of the world’s most recognizable multimedia brands.
Multiple 30th anniversary collaborations and products have been revealed recently, including a line of official merchandise that turned classic game package artwork into T-Shirts, pin badges and other functional everyday items.
Other 30th anniversary tie-ins have seen Japanese airline ANA reveal two new Pokémon themed airplanes, and some of the franchise’s most popular monsters are currently appearing on limited edition bottles of Pepsi and a range of other soft drinks.
The Pokémon 30th Anniversary G-SHOCK celebrates that legacy by incorporating visual elements inspired by the original Pokémon Red, Green, and Blue games that helped launch the series.
Red, green, and blue accent colours appear throughout the design across the hands, push buttons, bezel, and dial, paying tribute to the iconic first-generation releases.
The subdial positioned at the 9 o’clock position is styled after a Poké Ball, while the watch hands feature a playful silhouette based on Pikachu viewed from behind.
The band is filled with artwork featuring a total of 30 Pokémon created specifically for the anniversary celebration.
Representing every generation of starter Pokémon introduced throughout the Pokémon series, the strap also includes Pikachu and Eevee, bringing the total number of Pokémon displayed across the band to 29.
Completing the anniversary design, Mew appears on the band keeper, representing the mythical Pokémon believed to possess the genetic code of every Pokémon and bringing the overall total to 30 featured Pokémon.
Special attention has also been given to the reverse side of the watch, where an exclusive Pokémon 30th anniversary emblem has been engraved into the case back.
The presentation continues with premium packaging that showcases the same collection of 30 Pokémon and is housed inside a special Poké Ball-inspired presentation box created exclusively for the collaboration.
Designed to appeal to Trainers of every generation, the commemorative watch celebrates both the enduring popularity of Pokémon and the adventures shared by fans over the past three decades.
Pre-orders open on July 1, 2026, ahead of the watch’s July 10, 2026 release, with the “GA-110PKM-7AJR” priced at ¥33,000 (approx. $225 USD / £165 GBP).
Reservations through the CASIO Online Store will be handled via a lottery system rather than first-come, first-served ordering, with applications accepted between July 1 at 10:00 a.m. and July 6 at 12:00 p.m. JST.
Lottery winners will be announced from the evening of July 9, 2026, through customers’ CASIO Online Store accounts, with successful applicants also receiving notification via their registered email address.
