ANA Reveals Livery for Two New Pokémon 30th Anniversary Airplanes

One of Japan’s largest airlines, All Nippon Airways (ANA), has officially revealed the designs for two upcoming Pokémon-themed aircraft celebrating the series’ 30th anniversary.
The new “Pokémon Jet” lineup will see two new aircraft, dubbed “Pokémon Red” and “Pokémon Green” respectively, join the ANA fleet in 2026.

First debuting on the Nintendo Game Boy system in 1996, Pokémon has evolved into an absolute global phenomenon spanning video games, trading cards, and animated television series.

The long-running series is popular with fans worldwide thanks to its memorable creature designs and sense of adventure.

ANA and The Pokémon Company share a long history together, having launched the world’s very first Pokémon-themed aircraft back in 1998.

ANA has successfully operated several Pokémon themed planes, including the Pikachu Jet NH and Eevee Jet NH, with a total of eight different collaborations to date.

The two new collaborative aircraft liveries will prominently display the iconic mascot Pikachu alongside the classic first partner characters from across every generation of the games.

The illustrated plane wraps also showcase the newly revealed starter creatures from the upcoming “Pokémon Winds” and “Pokémon Waves”, which are currently scheduled for release in 2027.

Passengers traveling aboard these custom planes will be treated to a fully integrated in-flight experience, featuring original branded merchandise designed to make the sky journey feel truly magical.

Let’s take a look at the new “Pokémon Jet Red” and “Pokémon Jet Green” liveries in more detail!
- Pokémon Jet Red

This airplane will operate on domestic flights within Japan and will focus entirely on Fire-type first partner creatures, displaying familiar faces such as Charmander, Fuecoco, Fennekin, Torchic, Litten, Scorbunny, Cyndaquil, Chimchar, and Tepig.

It also features the debut of Pombon, a brand-new puppy Pokémon appearing in the next mainline games.

- Pokémon Jet Green

This airplane will operate on international routes and highlights the Grass-type starter lineup, including Bulbasaur, Sprigatito, Chespin, Snivy, Turtwig, Treecko, Rowlet, Grookey, and Chikorita.

The side of the hull also includes Browt, a new bean chick Pokémon from the upcoming Winds/Waves games.

The customized interior cabin environment will feature themed headrest covers, limited-edition beverage cups, and cocktail napkins to immerse travelers in the colorful world of the characters.

The custom headrest covers are meant for cabin use only and cannot be taken home at the end of the flight, but the airline will distribute exclusive commemorative stickers as free gifts to passengers during their journey instead.

These limited-quantity souvenir sheets are set to be subject to availability, and distribution will officially conclude once the promotional stock is entirely exhausted.
A third themed aircraft, titled “Pokémon Jet Blue,” has also been confirmed by organizers, with design details and the livery to be revealed in a future announcement.

The domestic “Pokémon Jet Red” aircraft is scheduled to officially enter regular flight service at the end of July 2026, while the launch window for the international “Pokémon Jet Green” route will be finalized by the operators at a later date.
