Ascendance Of A Bookworm Returns with New Creditless Opening and Ending Videos

The fourth season of the popular anime series Ascendance of a Bookworm is scheduled to premiere on April 4, 2026, and will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll.

New creditless opening and ending videos have been released to celebrate the launch, featuring the song Pages by Little Glee Monster and Ima mo, Arigatou by Erika Ikuta.

Subtitled Adopted Daughter of an Archduke, this new installment follows the protagonist Myne as she navigates her new life within the noble class.

Production for the upcoming season has shifted to WIT Studio, with Yoshiaki Iwasaki taking over directorial duties from Mitsuru Hongo of Ajia-do Animation Works.

Mariko Kunisawa is returning to manage series composition, while Michiru continues to compose the musical score and Aiko Minowa serves as the character designer.

The series is planned to air over two consecutive anime seasons, providing an extended look at Myne’s journey in the town of Ehrenfest.

In addition to the anime, J-Novel Club continues to publish English versions of Miya Kazuki’s original light novels and the manga adaptation.

Crunchyroll will host the new episodes alongside the previous three seasons, which cover Myne’s origins as a reincarnated librarian determined to create books in a world where they are reserved for the elite.
