Ascendance of a Bookworm season 4

The fourth season of the popular anime series Ascendance of a Bookworm, titled Ascendance of a Bookworm: Adopted Daughter of an Archduke, is scheduled to premiere on April 4, 2026.

Fans attending the AnimeJapan event this past weekend were the first to view a brand new trailer and promotional artwork for the upcoming season.

The new trailer features the opening theme song Pages performed by Little Glee Monster and the ending theme song Ima mo, Arigatou by Erika Ikuta.

Illustrator You Shiina, who provides the artwork for the original light novels, released a special piece of celebratory art to mark the announcement.

Production for the new season has moved to WIT Studio, with Yoshiaki Iwasaki taking over the role of director from Mitsuru Hongo.

Returning staff members include Mariko Kunisawa for series composition and Michiru for music composition, while Aiko Minowa joins the team to handle character designs.

The upcoming season is confirmed to air over two consecutive anime seasons, providing an extended run for the adaptation of the light novel series.

Crunchyroll will stream the new episodes internationally as they air in Japan, adding to its existing library that contains all three previous seasons of the show.

English versions of the original light novels by Miya Kazuki and the manga adaptation remain available through the publisher J-Novel Club.
