Alternative footwear brand KOI unveils new Hatsune Miku shoe collection
The alternative footwear brand KOI Footwear has announced a new collaboration with the world-famous virtual pop star, Hatsune Miku.
KOI Footwear is a brand known for its bold, chunky silhouettes and its commitment to vegan-friendly materials, with a style that is popular in alternative fashion scenes.
Hatsune Miku is a global music and cultural icon who originated as a voice synthesizer software product and has since evolved into a digital idol who performs in sold-out concerts.
Brands regularly collaborate with Hatsune Miku, leading to the creation of unique ranges that have recently included a range of Miku-themed camping goods.
This latest partnership will bring the virtual singer’s signature futuristic aesthetic and color scheme to a range of KOI’s footwear styles.
The initial collection will feature a total of four different shoe models.
Two of the models are chunky platform trainers, a signature style for the KOI brand.
These are named the “VIRTUAL DIVA CHUNKY TRAINERS” and the “CIRCUIT PULSE MIKU CHUNKY TRAINERS.”
The other two models are variations on the classic Mary Jane shoe silhouette.
These are the “MIKU TALE MARY JANES” and the “NEAR FUTURES GLITTER MIKU MARY JANE.”
Each of the four models in the collection will be available in a wide range of UK, US, and EU sizes.
The collaboration fuses the distinct visual identity of Hatsune Miku with the edgy, alternative style of KOI Footwear.
Pricing information for the collection has not yet been announced, however a first look was revealed in a promotional video posted to the brand’s official YouTube channel.
The new KOI Footwear and Hatsune Miku collaboration will be on sale from Wednesday, the 6th of August, 2025, starting at 12:00 PM BST via the official KOI Footwear website.
