The Elusive Samurai ‘Calligraphy’ Pop Up Shop at Animate 2026

Animate stores across Japan will host a Calligraphy themed pop up shop for series The Elusive Samurai from July 3 to July 26, 2026.
The series is based on the manga by Yusei Matsui and follows the story of Tokiyuki Hojo as he navigates the tumultuous Kamakura period with the help of his allies.
This upcoming fair will be held at Animate locations in Tokyo, Aichi, Osaka, Kyoto, and Fukuoka including the Ikebukuro Main Store, Akihabara, Nagoya, Osaka Nipponbashi, Avanti Kyoto, and Fukuoka Parco.
The event will showcase a selection of goods featuring new illustrations of characters like Tokiyuki Hojo, Shizuku, Yorishige Suwa, Kojiro, Ayako, Genba Kazama, and Fubuki dressed in traditional Japanese attire for calligraphy.
Fans can purchase items such as acrylic stands, trading Japanese paper style tin badges, and A4 clear files featuring these unique designs.
For every 1,100 yen spent on related merchandise, customers will receive one of ten random novelty Ema style cards as a special bonus.
