The Warrior Princess And The Barbaric King Anime Trailer Released Ahead of Broadcast

The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King stage event at AnimeJapan held on March 30, 2026, premiered a high-energy trailer for the upcoming television anime.
The series is scheduled to officially premiere on April 9, 2026, and will be available for international audiences via a simulcast on Crunchyroll.

The new footage highlights the evolving relationship between the leads Serafina and Veor as seen through the perspective of the character Alyssa.
The voice cast features Sayumi Suzushiro as Serafina and Satoshi Inomata as Veor, with supporting roles filled by Hana Hishikawa, Aki Toyosaki, Miyu Tomita, and Hiroshi Kamiya.
Additional cast members contributing to the fantasy world include Hisako Kanemoto, Ayaka Asai, Yusuke Kobayashi, Yurika Kubo, Kochi Soma, Yasuhiro Kikuchi, Shinpachi Tsuji, and Yo Taichi.
This adaptation is based on the original manga series by Noriaki Kotoba, which first began its serialization in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine in January 2021.

To date, the manga has seen 10 volumes released in Japan, while Seven Seas Entertainment handles the English language distribution under the title The Barbarian’s Bride.
Directing the project at studio Jumondo is Takashi Yamazaki, who previously served as an episode director for the series BLUE LOCK.
The production staff is rounded out by series compositor Miya Asakawa, character designer Masayoshi Kikuchi, and composer Alisa Okehazama.
The story follows Serafina de Lavillant, a powerful knight from the West who is captured while attempting to subjugate tribes in the East.
Instead of the execution she expects, the tribal leader surprises her by proposing marriage, forcing Serafina to confront her prejudices about the people she once considered enemies.
