Dragon Ball’s Iconic Capsules Become Real Life Transforming Figures as Bandai Unveils New CHANGEARTS Figure Line

Bandai has officially revealed CHANGEARTS, a brand-new transforming toy series from its TAMASHII NATIONS division, with Dragon Ball leading the launch through four nostalgic capsule-based collectibles.
The new CHANGEARTS series has been developed with a focus on creating transformable figures of some of the most recognizable elements of popular series that are equally detailed as they are to play with and transform.

The initial wave will focus on Dragon Ball, specifically centering around Bulma’s well-known Hoi-Poi Capsules, also referred to as DynoCaps in the English dub, bringing one of the series’ most recognisable inventions to life in an interactive way.

Each capsule stands at approximately 11 cm tall and accurately recreates the vibrant and minimalistic design seen in the anime, complete with smooth surfaces and authentic printed labels.

Upon transformation, the capsules reveal finely crafted miniature recreations of classic Dragon Ball vehicles and structures, offering both engaging play features and impressive display value.

The first release in the lineup is “Hoi-Poi Capsule No. 9 Bulma’s Bike,” which transforms into her iconic motorcycle featuring a clear windscreen, detailed headlight and precisely printed markings across the body.

Also included is “Hoi-Poi Capsule No. 1 Capsule House,” which unfolds into the familiar portable home complete with transparent windows, a rooftop antenna, and carefully sculpted entrance details, measuring approximately 8 cm once transformed.

Further expanding the range is “Hoi-Poi Capsule No. 576 Bulma’s Plane,” which converts into her aircraft with a transparent cockpit canopy that reveals interior detailing, along with an opening rear hatch for added interactivity.

Rounding out the debut wave is “Hoi-Poi Capsule No. 433 Trunks’ Time Machine,” which transforms into the iconic vehicle featuring an opening canopy, intricately sculpted thrusters, and accurately reproduced markings applied through transfer printing.

The four transforming capsules allow Dragon Ball fans to add some of the most memorable inventions from the Dragon Ball universe to their collections.
Each of the four Dragon Ball releases, including Hoi-Poi Capsule No. 9 Bulma’s Bike, Hoi-Poi Capsule No. 1 Capsule House, Hoi-Poi Capsule No. 576 Bulma’s Plane and Hoi-Poi Capsule No. 433 Trunks’ Time Machine, is priced at ¥2,200 (approx. $15 USD / £11 GBP).

Pre-orders for the full debut lineup will begin on July 1, 2026, through reputable hobby retailers such as HobbyLink Japan, with Bulma’s Bike and Capsule House scheduled for release in December 2026, followed by Bulma’s Plane and Trunks’ Time Machine in January 2027.
