Bandai Reveals Full August 2026 Gunpla Release Schedule

Bandai Hobby has confirmed its complete Gunpla release schedule for August 2026, with six new releases spanning general retail, Premium Bandai, and The Gundam Base stores.
The month’s lineup brings together the long-awaited return of Gundam X’s Gundam Leopard, three Entry Grade kits inspired by traditional Japanese artwork, a new RE/100 release from Mobile Suit Gundam F91 and a huge Gundam Base exclusive set built around Akatsuki Gundam and the Zeus Silhouette.

The general retail HG 1/144 Gundam Leopard, priced at ¥2,420 (approx. $15 USD / £11 GBP), brings the heavily armed mobile suit from After War Gundam X into the latest HG format with its distinctive proportions, green coloring and extensive weapon systems recreated through detailed part separation.

Its Inner Arm Gatling can transform, attach to the left arm and return to its stored position, while opening panels reveal the Breast Gatling guns, shoulder missiles, Hornet Missiles and other weapons hidden across the Gundam Leopard’s armor.

A separate missile pod and Beam Knife are also included, allowing builders to move between its standard configuration and the overwhelming full-weapon display that defines the mobile suit in the anime.

3 other general retail releases will also be available from hobby stores across Japan this August.
The Entry Grade 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam Ukiyo-e Package Ver., priced at ¥1,430 (approx. $9 USD / £7 GBP), gives Amuro Ray’s original Gundam new packaging inspired by Hokusai’s Rainstorm Beneath the Summit, with Japanese-style stickers featuring Mount Fuji and cherry blossoms included for the shoulders and shield.

The Entry Grade 1/144 Strike Gundam Ukiyo-e Package Ver., also priced at ¥1,430 (approx. $9 USD / £7 GBP), places the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED favorite against a dramatic scene inspired by The Great Wave off Kanagawa, accompanied by wave-patterned and kanji stickers for customizing its armor and shield.

The Entry Grade 1/144 Wing Gundam Ukiyo-e Package Ver., priced at ¥1,760 (approx. $11 USD / £8 GBP), features artwork of Wing Gundam beside an eagle perched on a pine branch beneath Mount Fuji, with matching eagle-themed decorations that can be applied to the inner sections of its wings.

All three Ukiyo-e releases retain the accessible tool-free construction, molded color separation, and articulation of their standard Entry Grade counterparts, making them suitable for newer builders while offering artwork and markings that should also appeal to established collectors.

This month also includes 2 exclusive kits, with the first being the Premium Bandai exclusive RE/100 1/100 Den’an-Zon, priced at ¥3,300 (approx. $21 USD / £16 GBP), which updates the Crossbone Vanguard’s close-combat mass-production mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam F91 with newly sculpted parts and the larger 1/100 scale associated with the RE/100 range.

Its spiked shoulder armor can fold inward to improve the movement of the arms, while articulated sensors and thrusters across the large backpack help recreate the mobile suit’s distinctive flight poses.

The included Shot Lancer features an extending handle and removable tip for recreating its launch attack, while four detachable shield effects, two Beam Sabers and a wide range of movement provide several options for recreating the Den’an-Zon’s appearances in the movie.

The RG 1/144 The Gundam Base Limited Akatsuki Gundam Oowashi Unit and HG 1/144 Zeus Silhouette with Custom Joint Parts Set, priced at ¥16,500 (approx. $105 USD / £78 GBP), combines two substantial kits with newly designed parts intended to support the weight of the completed configuration.

The Akatsuki Gundam uses three different types of gold plating to recreate the reflective appearance of its Yata-no-Kagami armor, while the included connection parts allow the HG Zeus Silhouette to be equipped onto the Real Grade model.

Newly designed reinforced hip joints can be installed to improve stability while carrying the enormous Zeus Silhouette, making more ambitious poses possible despite the size and weight of the equipment.

The HG 1/144 Gundam Leopard and The Gundam Base exclusive Akatsuki Gundam set will launch in Japan on August 8, 2026, while Japanese Premium Bandai orders for the RE/100 Den’an-Zon are currently scheduled to begin shipping during August.

The three Entry Grade Ukiyo-e Package Ver. kits will follow through general retailers in Japan on August 29, 2026.
The RE/100 1/100 Den’an-Zon is also priced at US$40 (approx. $40 USD / £30 GBP) through Premium Bandai US, where pre-orders are currently available.

Premium Bandai US orders for the Den’an-Zon are currently scheduled to begin shipping in October 2026.
The Akatsuki Gundam Oowashi Unit and Zeus Silhouette Set is priced at US$196 (approx. $196 USD / £147 GBP) through Premium Bandai US, where it is currently available to pre-order despite being a Gundam Base exclusive in Japan.

Premium Bandai US orders for the Akatsuki Gundam set are currently scheduled to begin shipping in November 2026.
